Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours, 5 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups of water
2 10 oz cans of cream of chicken
6 oz box of long grain & wild rice with seasoning packet
3 carrots, chopped
3 celery sticks, chopped
Directions
1. Chop up the celery and carrots into small chunks. The size of the pieces is entirely up to your preference.
2. Combine all ingredients into the slow cooker, starting with the chicken.
3. Cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
That's it! It's really that simple!
Pro tip: To ensure the chicken cooks properly, make sure to place the chicken on the bottom and along the sides of the slow cooker. This will ensure the chicken is making contact with the cooker's heating element.
Pro tip: If you want a spin on this recipe, try chopping the chicken into small bits before placing it into the crock pot. This will make more of a porridge as shown below.
